My Chihuahua puppy is about 11 weeks old and when i got her she was 6 weeks. She had a small bald spot on her hip, now it is a lot of small spots on both her back legs and around her butt. WHAT could this be? What should i do???Dog hair loss help please!?
Possibly ringworm. She will need a vet visit to be sure that she is treated for teh right thing.Dog hair loss help please!?
It could be any number of things, fleas, It might even be hot spots depending on what it looks like, it might also be a food allergie, i have had numerous customers come to me and tell me similar things, i would tell them the same things im saying now. What are you feeding the dog? does it have alot of grain in it? Try the Natural Balance Potato %26amp; Duck formula or Natural Balance Sweet Potato %26amp; Fish formula foods, maybe try some hot spot medication, or itch relief spray, deffinetly get some Front Line to kill the fleas if thats the problem....but the only way to tell what is truly going on is to take your pooch to the vet....good luck
Whenever you see significant symptoms of a problem like this, always call your veterinarian rather than trust the spurious opinions of people on this forum. Many contributors here care about what you're asking, some will give you serious but wrong answers, and some will try to prank you by intentionally giving you bad advice. When it comes to something as important as your dog, always play it safe with a phone call to the doc.
I work for a vet and we see a lot of this. Three things come to my mind 1. it could be an allergy to fleas, try advantage 2. it could be mange dont panic this is curable or treatable just take her to a vet to determine which kind it is and determine the route of medication. 3. it could be a ';hot spot'; which just needs antibiotics 4. it could possibly be a staff infection or something else that could require somewhat expensive tests but should be treatable
Take your puppy to the vet at soon as you can. Your puppy may have a skin infection or a skin problem. Please is not my intention to get you scare. I have for long time dogs that are long haired ....when I see something inusual on their skin.. I go running to their vet. the earlier the better to treat. Go luck.
maybe she has flees but even if she does or doesnt go to the vets and the cream thay will give you works and itl grow bak in no time nothin to worry about thats wot my dog had =} x
